Teaching

Electronics for Physicists

Our group is also involved in teaching several classes, which are also described at the INI teaching page:

  • Neuromorphic Engineering I - This class including practical exercises gives an introduction to the field of neuromorphic engineering and analog VLSI circuit design from device physics up to complicated photosensitive circuits.
  • Neuromorphic Engineering II - This class including practical exercises teaches the students how to design, test and layout neuromorphic circuits. The students realize an aVLSI class project with the potential of being prototyped.
  • Electronics for Physicists II (Digital) - In this class the students learn the basics of digital electronics and get some hands-on soldering experiences.
  • P&S Module on Brain Machine Interface - This module is offered only for third year students in the D-ITET, ETHZ.
  • Bio Blockkurs - Computational Neuroscience - Part of this Block Course is the investigation of neuromorphic circuits which is taught by Shih-Chii and Tobi.
  • Introductory Course in Neuroscience: Neuromorphic Engineering - a lecture on neuromorphic engineering, as part of a course with lectures on all aspects of neuroscience, taught by members of the Zurich Center for Neuroscience.
